Ride-on Motorcycles
About the
Company
First Established in 1982 as a Motorcycle Hire and Mechanical workshop
in Jonson St, Byron Bay, the “RIDE ON“ name has become well known throughout
the region, expanding into new and used motorcycle, ATV and scooter sales.
The business has specialised workshop facilities equipped to service most
makes and models, placing emphasis on quality repairs and servicing of
the local market.
Ride on motorcycles is an authorised inspection Station, issuing in
house Registration Plates for the RTA, and provides insurance and finance
products.
New motorcycles and scooters sold are Yamaha,
Hyosung,
Vespa, Piaggio, Gilera and TGB.
In 2002 the business moved from central Byron Bay to much larger, modern
premises in Banksia Drive, in the Byron Arts & Industrial Estate, surrounded
by a diverse and eclectic range of businesses.
Currently we occupy 2 x 160 square meter adjoining units, one
being for sales showroom, office and administration, the other mechanical
workshop. Both sections have a mezzanine level, above the sales showroom
we have a display area for motorcycle apparel and protective clothing.
The primary goal of Ride On Motorcycles is to support and supply motorcyclists
within the area, providing them with the latest services and products,
with emphasis on service and long term customer benefits.
Potential
The Byron Bay Region boasts an ideal motorcycling climate, possibly
one of the best in Australia. Scooter popularity is growing at an
ever-increasing level, fitting in with the Byron lifestyle. Increased
sales and hire are assured.
The agricultural landscape surrounding Byron Bay is one of coffee and
macadamia orchards which offer potential for expanded sales and service
of 4 wheeled motorcycles, and power equipment…. other unrealised markets
exists in the tourism and tour operated businesses within the growing Byron
District.
It is not hard to see that this area is on the move. Development
approvals in the area are set to dramatically increase over the next 2
years as the council lifts the moratorium on new developments that has
been in force for the last 10 years, as infrastructure is now being comlpeted
to meet demands of this increasingly popular area.
